Curriculum

We use our own specially designed curriculum based on years of experience working with young children and solid scientific research.  We use themes that emerge from the childrens natural interests to help the knowledge come alive and work within the framework of The Creative Curriculum® model of student choice and development. Our teachers and assistants are trained to assist students in developing language through the content areas.

We work to promote development in all areas of student growth. We use developmental checklist that help us to view the whole process of a child's learning and development.  The main areas of development include: Cognitive Development, Motor Development (both Fine and Gross), Social Development and Language Development.

LANGUAGE IMMERSION

What is Immersion Preschool? Immersion is defined as a method of foreign language instruction in which regular school curriculum is taught through the medium of a second language. Students in our dual immersion program will experience instruction in both Spanish and English on a daily basis. Our teachers implement our engaging literacy and math curriculum along with pictures, body movements, music and games to assist students in acquiring both Spanish and English in an academic setting. We will provide a content based program that will prepare your child for further language development programs. The goals of our program include beginning level proficiency in Spanish and/or English, a cultural appreciation of those who speak Spanish and other languages and social-emotional competence in order to prepare them for overall success in kindergarten.

EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

Children deserve to be treated and respected as individuals in an environment that welcomes reason, exploration, questions, and imagination. We respect each child’s need for love, security, acceptance, warmth, and stimulation. We build on cognitive, social and emotional learning to help children grow at their own pace and achieve academically, socially and emotionally. We foster children as a unique blend of their family, culture and community. We are committed to the families we serve, building long term relationships that provide support, encouragement and resources for every family. We believe that the education children receive today will make all the difference in the future they will build tomorrow.
